Over the past week, EastFruit trading platforms saw significant trends with watermelon remaining the top seller despite price drops. Ukraine began local plum sales and saw a return of cherries to top sales. The supply of 'borscht set' vegetables declined, except for white cabbage, while tomato and eggplant sales rose. Cucumber and sweet pepper offers decreased. Active participants included Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Egypt. Controversially, Russia registered the Ukrainian 'Melitopol Cherry' brand as Russian. In Ukraine, prices for new potatoes, sweet peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, sweet corn, and local watermelons fell, while cucumber, cauliflower, and broccoli prices rose. Blueberries, raspberries, and late cherry varieties saw price drops, with nectarines and peaches also affected. In Uzbekistan, tomato and carrot prices fell, while apricot prices increased.
