The State Fund 'Agriculture' (SFA) in Bulgaria has allocated BGN 2.8 million in de minimis aid to support farmers affected by extreme hail damage in the Plovdiv district on August 28, 2021. This disaster severely damaged a total of 1,722.8 hectares, rendering crops such as cabbage, watermelon, and various fruits and vegetables up to 80% damaged. This aid is aimed at helping farmers restore their production potential and continue their activities, with support available for all farmers who suffered 100% loss and have the necessary protocols from municipal or regional agricultural services. The SFA is collaborating with relevant ministries to develop guidelines for distributing this aid.
