After weathering a storm for two or three years, the Paraguayan pork sector is experiencing a "golden year," which began with the opening of Taiwan, stated Ing. Agr. Delia Núñez, manager of the Paraguayan Pig Breeders Association (ACCP), who highlighted that Paraguay is exporting pork to premium markets, continues to open new destinations, such as Singapore, and expects authorization for others, like the Philippines. Additionally, negotiations are ongoing with Chile, and last week Taiwan confirmed that as of July 5, a zero tariff will apply to pork from our country, a fact that will further boost exports and revenues.
