The San Luis Valley in Sonora, Mexico, has planted 5,702 hectares of 24 different types of vegetables and wheat, with broccoli, chives, and lettuce taking up the majority of the area. Other crops including coriander, oats, and cabbage also received significant planting area, while green beans, cauliflower, parsley, celery, beets, quelite, radish, and leek were planted to a smaller extent. No planting area was reported for garlic, ryegrass, dill, and mint, but it is possible they will be planted in the spring-summer cycle. The planting was done in the autumn-winter cycle, with irrigated land and private wells contributing to the surface area.
