On September 29, 2022, representatives of the 'Friends of the Sea' SNC and employees of the Burgas Region conducted a stocking of the Vaya dam, releasing 110 kg of carp, bigeye, and silver carp into the reservoir. The fish ranged in weight from 150-200 g. IARA officials overseeing the operation anticipate a high survival rate for the stocked fish. IARA is appealing for support from fishermen, citizens, and institutions in preserving Bulgaria's fish wealth in its water bodies.
