This Month, Large Livestock Inventory Decreases, Poultry Increases

The Decline in Korean Cattle Inventory Likely to Continue Until Next Year This month, the number of large livestock such as Korean cattle and dairy cows is expected to decrease compared to the same month last year, while the inventory of laying hens and ducks is projected to increase. According to the Korea Rural Economic Institute's livestock outlook, this month's Korean cattle inventory is expected to decrease by 3.8% to 3,349,000 head compared to the same month last year. The number of cattle under one year old is anticipated to remain similar at 886,000 head, while the number of breeding cows is forecast to be 3.4% lower at 1,582,000 head. The current decline in Korean cattle inventory is expected to continue until next year.
