Residents and fishermen in the South Coast of Cianjur Regency, West Java, have been experiencing a peculiar phenomenon where sea fish, believed to be sardines or Tanyang Fish, have been jumping onto land. This event, happening more frequently during transitional seasons, has been providing a significant source of food and income for the local community. Each night, the catch can weigh up to 20 kilograms per resident, reducing the need for fishing trips and generating extra income by selling the fish to dealers at IDR 15,000 per kilogram. This rare occurrence has become a welcome blessing for the community, especially during periods of harsh weather conditions.
