Three new oil processing plants will be launched in Kazakhstan in 2026.

In 2026, Kazakhstan will commission three new oil refining capacities. This was announced by Government Representative Aliya Rakhimova. According to her information, the processing facilities will open in the East Kazakhstan, Abay, and Turkestan regions, reports the APK-Inform agency. Aliya Rakhimova shared on her Facebook page that the oil industry is currently "the very example of when government policy and production are moving in tandem towards a common goal, rather than pulling in different directions." As a result, Kazakhstan has moved from being a recent active importer of vegetable oil to becoming one of the top 10 global exporters. Last year, it rose to the 3rd place in sunflower meal shipments to the European Union countries. It fully supplies Central Asia with sunflower meal and cake.
