Time for assessment and forecast: Which crops will farmers turn to?

There are only a few days left until the end of the year and exactly two broadcasts left in our column, which I intend to dedicate to the larger "picture" that drove the markets in 2025 and will continue to dictate the rules in 2026. With us, the spiral of lack of clear rules and legislative changes, inter-company indebtedness, rising costs, and bankruptcies continues to lead the sector along an increasingly difficult and uncertain path. Representatives of various agricultural organizations have announced that they will send a group to the protests planned for December 18. This announcement has been praised, but personally for me – insufficient. Somehow, in recent years, social and industry roles have been perceived mainly as presence, but not as substance. It is not right that the topic of the state budget is current only for 20 days, against the backdrop of an entire "wasted" year.
