Trade with 23 countries: Paraná of Brazil honey exports grow 113% in the first half of the year

Exports of natural honey from Paraná grew 113% in the first half of this year, compared to the same period in 2023. There were 2,191 tons in 2024, compared to 1,026 tons from January to June last year. The growth in volume was also accompanied by an increase in revenue, with US$ 5.5 million in the first six months of this year, 77% more than the US$ 3.1 million in 2023. The survey was conducted by the Paraná Institute for Economic and Social Development (Ipardes), with data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services. Paraná was the fourth largest honey exporter in the country in the period from January to June. Piauí comes in first, with US$ 14.4 million and 5,920 tons; Minas Gerais in second, with US$ 7.7 million and 2,918 tons sold abroad; and Santa Catarina, in third place, sold US$ 6.3 million and 2,522 tons.
