In the first half of 2024, Paraná's natural honey exports surged by 113% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 2,191 tons and generating US$ 5.5 million. Paraná ranked as Brazil's fourth largest honey exporter, with the United States being the primary market, accounting for 75% of its exports. According to a survey by the Paraná Institute for Economic and Social Development (Ipardes), Paraná's honey was exported to 23 countries. Nationally, Brazil exported 17,683 tons of raw honey in the first half of 2024, with the United States as the main destination.
