A trader at Mutum Biyu grains market, Musa Dauda, told Daily Trust that a 100kg bag of maize was sold at N20,000 during the beginning of harvest in November. He said since then, prices continue to go up and as at Thursday, the market day of Mutum Biyu, the price is between N31,000 and N32,000.
