Botswana celebrated the Chinese Rice Harvest Day to mark the successful trial planting of water-saving and drought-resistant rice varieties, with the help of China. The event was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Botswana Wang Xuefeng and the country's Vice President Slumber Tsogwane. The trial planting is significant for improving Botswana's grain output, reducing its dependence on grain imports, and ensuring food safety. China aims to deepen its agricultural cooperation with Botswana and share its experience in food safety.
