Turkey's tropical fruit exports have seen a significant increase in the past four years, reaching $17 million 549 thousand 948 in the first nine months of the current year. The exports, which included blueberries, kiwi, dragon fruit, avocado, and mango, rose from $7 million 355 thousand 808 in 2020 to $24 million 612 thousand 795 last year. The Western Mediterranean region, a major contributor to the production and export of these fruits, has seen a substantial increase in its exports, from $1 million 86 thousand in 2020 to $5 million 93 thousand in the same period last year. Ümit Mirza Çavuşoğlu, the president of the Western Mediterranean Exporters' Association (BAİB), anticipates further growth and expects the region's tropical fruit exports to reach between 7.5-8 million dollars this year.
