Tumbes: Produce authorizes the execution of Operation Hake in the sea

The Republic.- In order to evaluate the evolution of the reproductive process and the characteristics of the size structure of the hake resource, the Ministry of Production (Produce) authorized the Peruvian Sea Institute (Imarpe) to carry out Operation Hake XXXI, from the 25th to the 27th of August, in the maritime area between the extreme north of the Peruvian maritime domain and Punta La Negra (06º00′S), located in the Tumbes region. Through Ministerial Resolution No. 281-2020-PRODUCE, it was detailed that the operation will be carried out with the participation of four titular fishing vessels and one alternate vessel that have a valid fishing permit and operate under the Provisional Fishing Regime of the hake (Merluccius gayi peruanus) resource.
