Tuna exports from Vietnam to Russia have seen a significant increase, with the export value doubling in three years from $14 million in 2021 to almost $29 million in 2023. In the first quarter of 2024, exports reached nearly $10 million, marking a 65% increase from the same period in 2023. Russia is the fourth largest market for Vietnam's tuna imports. The majority of exports to Russia are frozen tuna meat or loin, which account for 75% of the total export turnover. The increased convenience of shipping routes and tariff concessions have contributed to this growth.
