Tunisia has seen a 4.34% increase in pomegranate exports compared to 2020, with projections to export 8,000 tons, a 6% increase from the previous season. The country has harvested 106,000 tons, valued at 2.7 million dollars. The pomegranates are popular in Libya and Gulf countries. The sector is expecting new opportunities with the introduction of new varieties, a technical study for an additional designation of origin, and national and international promotion campaigns.
