The Inter-professional Fruit Grouping of Tunisia has reported a significant decrease in fruit exports, with a 41% drop in volume and a 27% decrease in value from January to August 18 compared to the same period last year. The exports brought in revenues of 50.60 million dinars, a decrease from the 70.006 million dinars recorded in the previous year. Watermelons, making up one third of the exports, were the primary product and were exported mainly to Italy, France, and Libya. Other exports included peaches, apricots, plums, and almonds, with the Libyan market being the main destination for peaches and apricots.
