The Turkestan region in Kazakhstan is set to launch five substantial investment projects valued at 55.2 billion tenge, aimed at improving livestock farming using methods inspired by Australia. These projects, led by the company TOO "Kaiyp Ata", include establishing fattening and processing complexes in Arys and the Sairam region by 2026. In just one year, 2025, Arys is expected to see a cattle fattening complex and a slaughter and processing complex, along with a livestock exchange in Sairam by 2026. This region is crucial for Kazakhstan's meat exports, contributing to 80% of beef and 75% of lamb exports, with significant exports to neighboring countries. In the first seven months of 2024, over 11,600 tons of meat were exported. Kaiyp Ata has further secured a contract with Tajikistan for the supply of 110 tons of meat. The Turkestan region houses a significant portion of the country's livestock, including over 1.1 million heads of cattle and 5.3 million sheep.
