Brazil's turkey meat production and export are largely controlled by two companies, BRFoods and JBS, operating primarily in Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul. In the first four months of 2024, turkey meat exports totaled 20,114 tons, generating US$51.230 million, marking a 4.3% drop in volume and an 11.02% drop in revenue compared to the previous year. The states of Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, and Paraná were the main exporting states. The exports were mostly 'in natura' products, with the average price for fresh turkey meat per ton falling by 13.1% compared to the previous year. Mexico, South Africa, and the Netherlands were the main export destinations.
