In the first nine months of 2024, Turkey has experienced a significant increase in its fruit and vegetable exports, surpassing USD 1 billion (EUR 924 million) and finding its way to 115 countries. The primary exports include citrus fruits, apples, pomegranates, and cherries. The European Union, Middle East, and Russia are the main importers, with growing interest from Asia, especially China and South Korea. The Turkish Exporters Association (TİM) is actively engaging in trade missions to expand market reach, particularly targeting large markets with high import potential. The country aims to further boost its export volumes through the development of modern logistics systems and the integration of new technologies in the agro-industrial sector.
