Sunflower oil imports rose to 308,000 tons, mainly from Russia and Ukraine, while sunflower meal imports reached 367,000 tons, largely from Russia. Despite growing domestic demand, Turkey maintained high sunflower oil exports, shipping 186,000 tons to countries like Ethiopia, Libya, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and EU nations.
