The article reports on the commencement of the blackberry harvest season in Turkey, specifically in the Kurtalan district of Siirt, where 230 decares of land in Yunuslar village is dedicated to the cultivation of blackberries. These blackberries are not only sold domestically but also internationally, with an estimated added value of around $30 per kilogram. Siirt Governor Dr. Kemal Kızılkaya highlighted the product's value and its applications in various industries, including fruit juice and pastry. Kasım Keremullah Ceylan, the garden owner, mentioned that they have expanded their plantation to 250 decares, including trials with blueberries, and have reached a high standard of quality in blackberry production.
