In 2021, Turkey's dried fruit exports surpassed $1.5 billion for the first time, with a 12% increase, according to the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters' Association. The exports of dried figs, dried apricots, and raisins alone reached $1.39 billion, making Turkey the world leader in their export. The country exports to 162 countries and the majority, 81%, of its raisin export of $427 million was to European countries. The target for 2022 is to reach $500 million in raisin exports to 101 countries.
