An agricultural frost has destroyed the cherry crop in Bilecik, the second earliest cherry-growing province in Türkiye, resulting in no production this year. The frost affected 36 provinces and various agricultural products. In Küre village, producers expect a significant loss in grapes, walnuts, and cherries with up to an 80% yield decrease. The village headman has asked for state support and anticipates high cherry prices. Walnut and cherry producer Tuncay Bayrak is hopeful for government intervention.
