Ukraine beer production bounces back

Beer production in Ukraine has increased by 9.3% so far this year as the country moves nearer to pre-war levels. The news from the industry body of brewers Ukrpyvo reveals that 114.5 million decalitres have so far been produced within 10 months of 2023. Production in Ukraine increased by 112.5% in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year, but the indicator is still well below the pre-war level. A statement from Ukrpyvo said: “The expert estimate of the volume of beer production in Ukraine (except non-alcoholic beer) for ten months of 2023 amounted to – 114.5 million decaliters, and it is 109.3% compared to the same period in 2022. “At the same time, the specified indicator is only – 72% to the production volumes of 10 months of 2021.” In 2022 as the impact of the war hit, Ukraine beer production reduced by 27.9% to 122.8 million decalitres.
