Despite ongoing conflict and challenges, Ukraine achieved a 20% increase in frozen raspberry exports in 2022, reaching a record 40,000 tons. Over 60% of these berries were exported to Poland, with the European Union being the top 11 importers. The country also managed to resume exports of fresh apples to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, delivering to a record 24 countries. This resilience, even amidst complex logistics and increased costs, highlights the resilience of Ukraine's agricultural sector under challenging conditions. Exports to the UAE, Qatar, and Uzbekistan saw particular growth, compensating for a sharp decrease in exports to the EU. Overall, Ukraine's apple exports in the first 10 months of 2022 were two times higher than in the same period of 2021, showcasing the country's determination to maintain its agricultural presence despite the war.
