In 2020, Ukraine exported 39.8% of its livestock products to the Middle East, making it the primary destination for Ukrainian livestock exports, according to analyst Oleksandra Avramenko. Europe was the second biggest market with 27.5% of exports, followed by the Eurasian Economic Union with 12.1%. The UAE, Hong Kong, and African countries were the main buyers of Ukrainian pork. Despite Asia Swine Flu outbreaks in Ukraine, global demand for these products is expected to rise by 5% annually. Currently, Ukraine ranks 20th in the global pork trade market and exports beef to the EEU, including China, but not to the European Union. Ukraine also exports cattle.
