Ukraine exported ten times more turkey meat than in the pre-war year

In 2023, 6 thousand tons of turkey meat were exported, which is 50% more than the year before, and ten times more than in 2021. Imports have more than halved. Serhii Karpenko, the executive director of the Association "Poultry Union of Ukraine", told about this in an interview with the magazine "Our Poultry Farming". "Active exports contributed to the recovery of domestic production in 2023. According to our estimates, volumes increased by 6.5% compared to 2022, but still lag behind pre-war levels," he noted. The expert reminded that in 2022, production volumes in turkey production will be significantly reduced.
