Ukraine has taken the lead in net exports of frozen raspberries, exporting a record 65 thousand tons in 2024, a 34% increase from the previous year and more than doubling its shipments over the past three seasons. This puts Ukraine ahead of traditional leaders, Poland and Serbia, with Poland reducing its exports by 24% and Serbia maintaining similar volumes. Ukraine's leadership is attributed to its lack of raspberry imports, while Poland and Serbia import and re-export a significant portion of their raspberries. To further grow in the global market, Ukrainian producers are encouraged to improve raspberry quality and increase their processing capacities. Many Ukrainian companies currently sell raspberries as raw materials, which are then processed and exported by Polish processors.
