Ukraine is aiming to become a global leader in organic products export, currently ranking as the third largest exporter to Europe with plans to expand to the USA, Canada, and Asia. Despite these ambitions, the country faces challenges such as lacking regulatory alignment with EU standards and the need for a more robust market control mechanism. In contrast, the global organic agriculture market is led by the United States, Germany, and France, with a total of 3.1 million producers worldwide. Meanwhile, olive oil production in Italy has seen a significant decline due to pests and poor weather conditions, with the government emphasizing support for local producers and developing a strategic plan to boost olive cultivation. Spain remained the largest olive oil producer and exporter in 2020.
