Ukraine is inferior only to China in the export of honey to the EU

It is noted that in 2024, despite the full-scale war, Ukrainian honey continues to demonstrate stable positive dynamics on the world market. In the first three months of this year, the export of honey amounted to more than 23,000 tons, which in monetary terms is equal to $44 million. The greatest demand is always observed in the countries of the European Union, in particular in Germany, Poland and France, which currently account for almost half of the foreign exchange revenue. For several years in a row, Ukraine has been in the top five powerful exporters of honey. So, according to the results of last year, Ukraine ranks 4th among the traditional world leaders in the export of honey: The main sales market for Ukrainian honey — the European Union — brought in $112 million last year (92% of total volumes) in terms of value.
