Despite the ongoing war, Ukrainian honey has shown stable growth on the global market in 2024, with over 23,000 tons exported in the first quarter, generating $44 million in revenue. The European Union, especially Germany, Poland, and France, is the primary market, contributing to around 50% of the revenue. Ukraine has consistently ranked among the top five honey exporters for several years, with the European Union bringing in $112 million from Ukrainian honey in 2023, which accounted for 92% of total exports. The favorable trading conditions with the EU, including the liberalization of trade, have enabled Ukrainian beekeepers to access European consumers more easily.
