In 2019, Ukraine ranked second globally in grain exports, following the United States and ahead of Canada, making it a key player in the international grain market and a guararantor of food security. Despite suffering crop losses due to drought in 2020, the country still has significant export potential of other products like eggs, honey, berries, nuts, and snails. To increase grain exports, scientists at the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine are trying to align with global scientific trends, but this requires adequate funding and a forward-thinking economic perspective.
