Ukraine ranks second among countries supplying organic products to the EU, contributing 10% of the total imports, according to the European Commission's report. The EU imported 3.24 million tons of organic agricultural products in 2019, which was 2% of total food imports. The report highlights that China, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Peru were the leading suppliers, with the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and Belgium being the largest buyers. Ukraine saw a increase in organic product exports to the EU by 27% to 337.9 thousand tons in 2019, making it the first among suppliers of organic grain and the third largest supplier of organic fruit.
