The article reports a 25% increase in Ukraine's dairy product trade turnover in the first ten months of 2020, largely due to a 124% rise in imports. Despite a 20% drop in exports, the negative trade balance continues to grow, with butter and powdered and condensed milk accounting for over 50% of export losses. Meanwhile, imports of various dairy products, especially cheese and butter, have seen significant increases, primarily from Poland, Germany, Moldova, the Netherlands, and France. The association predicts a 2.5-5.5% increase in dairy product prices by the end of the year due to raw milk shortages and pricing disputes among processors.
