In the first half of 2024, Ukraine experienced a 17.4% decrease in imports of dairy products such as buttermilk, fermented milk, and cream, totaling 3.8 thousand tons, valued at $7.9 million, a 13.2% drop from the previous year. The majority of these imports were sourced from Belgium, Poland, and Germany. Conversely, Ukrainian dairy exports rose by 26.7% to 1.9 thousand tons, earning $2.5 million, with Moldova being the primary buyer. Additionally, the price of dry butter oil at the GDT auction on July 2 fell to $2,672/ton.
