Ukraine returns to rye imports

decline in domestic supply and a growing need to cover demand through foreign purchases. European countries have become the main suppliers of rye to Ukraine in the current season, whereas imports of this crop had previously remained minimal. At the same time, in the 2024/25 season Ukraine still held the status of a net exporter of rye. A total of 10.7 thsd tons were shipped to foreign markets, with Spain and Israel as the main destinations. Rye imports also took place, but mainly toward the end of the season.
