Due to spring frosts in Ukraine, there may be a shortage of stone fruits - cherries, sweet cherries, and apricots. EastFruit reports this. Apricots were the most affected, with losses of the future cherry and sweet cherry harvest estimated at 35 to 55%. The third wave of spring frosts that covered Ukraine at the end of April caused significant losses in horticulture. Apricots were the most affected, while cherries and sweet cherries were less impacted. According to preliminary estimates, 45-55% of the sweet cherry harvest has been lost, primarily in the southern regions of the country where the main production is concentrated.
