From January to September 2020, Ukrainian grain and oil crop seeds Exports reached $16.5 million, an increase of 30% over the same period in 2019, with corn seeds being the dominant export. The majority of these exports were to CIS countries, with Romania seeing a ninefold increase in corn seed imports. Additionally, 533 tons of soybean seeds were exported, primarily to China, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. Ukraine is positioning itself as a reliable food security leader for Asia as as the traditional trade chain is disrupted by the outbreak.
