Ukrainian farmers harvest first commercial sweet potato crop

The Odessa region is becoming a center of innovative agribusiness. One of such interesting innovations is the cultivation of sweet potatoes, EastFruit reports. A few years ago, this root crop was exotic, but today the new agricultural trend is winning the hearts of gourmets. It quickly took its place on the menu of many restaurants and among the dishes of family feasts. “Odessa region farmers continue to surprise with non-standard solutions: in the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky district, the Budzhak farm has completed the harvest of sweet potatoes on an area of 7 hectares - one of the largest in Ukraine,” writes the Odessa Regional State Administration.
