Ukrainian farmers have successfully sown 3.407.3 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops in areas under their control, with a notable increase in the sowing of sunflowers, soybeans, and sugar beets. Despite facing challenges like a lack of personnel and armed aggression from Russia, particularly in Odesa, they have managed to start the sowing of spring crops for the 2024 harvest. This includes early spring crops such as barley, peas, wheat, and oats, as well as late grains like corn, millet, and legumes. The planting has benefited from favorable weather conditions in regions like Sumy Oblast and Chernihiv, allowing for earlier planting than usual.
