Serhiy Danyleyko, co-founder of Ukrainian Snail Holding, has announced plans to build a processing plant for snails due to a decrease in demand from restaurants during quarantine measures. The plant is expected to be built by the middle of next year, but the investment amount has not yet been announced. Producers are either establishing cooperation with processors or organizing their own processing to sell the finished product to Asian and European markets. Due to the quarantine, there is an oversupply of Moroccan snails, and the price is expected to fall further with a potential second wave of coronavirus.
