In the first half of 2022, Ukraine saw a significant increase in its grain and oilseed exports, with the volume reaching $27.8 million, which is 1.8 times more than the previous year. Corn continues to be the primary export, making up 96% of the total, and the export of hybrid corn seeds has doubled, becoming the first time that exports have surpassed imports. Additionally, the country also exported sunflower seeds, soybeans, flax, rapeseed, and mustard, generating an additional $1 million in revenue. This increase in exports is attributed to the loss of logistical channels for foreign seeds due to aggression, increased domestic production capacities, and the recognition of Ukraine's seed certification system by the European Parliament.
