(Ulsan=Yonhap News) Reporter Jang Young-eun = The Ulsan Office of the National Agro-Food Quality Management Service (hereinafter referred to as Ulsan Agro-Food) announced on the 20th that it has collaborated with the Ulsan Horticultural Farmers Association Hanaro Mart to hold a special sales event for nationally certified eco-friendly and GAP agricultural products at the Hanaro Mart during the Ulsan Pear Festival.
During the Ulsan Pear Festival from the 17th to the 19th, this event promoted how to check information on eco-friendly and GAP certified agricultural products and gave souvenirs to consumers who purchased these products.
An event called "Origin Confirmation Day," which gives souvenirs to consumers who correctly guess the origin of the agricultural products, was also held.
The eco-friendly certification system is a system that aims to increase the environmental conservation function of agriculture by not using or minimizing the use of chemical materials.
The GAP certification system is a system that aims to adequately manage harmful factors such as pesticides, heavy metals, and microorganisms from production to distribution to protect producers and consumers.
An official from the Ulsan Agro-Food said, "We will make further efforts to widely publicize the excellence of eco-friendly and GAP agricultural products and to expand stable sales channels for farmers who produce certified agricultural products."
