The Brazilian Sugarcane Industry and Bioenergy Association (Unica) and Bioenergia Brasil released a statement this Thursday (17th) in which they reinforced "their confidence in the Brazilian government" in the face of the United States government's announcement of an investigation related to Brazil's commercial practices. The two entities highlight "the firmness, dignity, and diplomatic competence" demonstrated by the government in defending national interests, especially in strategic sectors such as biofuels. For the entities, the bilateral trade between Brazil and the United States, built on mutual respect, needs to be preserved and strengthened.
