From December 1 to 15, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Korea Forest Service, the Rural Development Administration, and local governments will jointly operate the "National Agricultural By-products Destruction Week." This destruction week was organized despite the unprecedented damage caused by the massive wildfire in the Yeongnam region last March, as illegal burning continues to result in repeated wildfires. The entire agricultural sector is cooperating to widely publicize the dangers of burning near forests and to encourage farmers to voluntarily destroy agricultural by-products.
