Brazil: Updated production costs for sugar cane, yams, goats and sheep in PE

On March 26, the National Supply Company (Conab) concludes the update of production costs for sugarcane, yams, yams and goats and sheep in Pernambuco. The geographical bases for the survey will be: for sugarcane, the municipality of Ribeirão (Zona da Mata Sul); for goats and sheep, the municipality of Dorobres (Sertão); and for yams and yams, the municipality of Bonito (Agreste). The study of production costs aims to subsidize several programs carried out by the National Supply Company (Conab), as well as directing government strategies and policies aimed at guaranteeing income and food security for the Brazilian rural populations.
