Uruguay finally enabled the import of boneless pork from Argentina

The Argentine Foreign Ministry reported this Friday that the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of Uruguay (MGAP) has authorized the export of boneless meat, fat, hides and pork trimming from Argentina to Uruguay for a period of six months. This decision, which initially affects four Argentine establishments, opens a new market for the national pork industry and represents an important opportunity to diversify exports and strengthen the presence of Argentine products abroad. Argentine pork is highly valued in foreign markets due to its superior genetic quality and having this new opening in Uruguay contributes to strengthening the international insertion of the sector.
