The government of Uruguay, together with the National Meat Institute (INAC), the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA), and the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), is promoting two technological prototypes that aim to monitor bovine livestock in real time and increase bovine traceability. The goal is to improve control and prevent cases such as that of Conexión Ganadera and other funds, said INIA adjunct researcher Juan Manuel Soares de Lima to la diaria. “We want to evolve towards a new individual identification system that allows real-time monitoring of the animals.
