In November, the United States experienced a slight increase in red meat production, with both beef and pork production rising to 2.424 and 2.351 billion pounds, respectively, from the previous month. Despite this, commercial pork production for the first 11 months of 2022 decreased compared to the same period in 2021. Cattle culling also saw a slight increase, while pig slaughter slightly decreased in the same timeframe compared to the previous year. The total beef production from January to November reached 26.065 billion pounds, up from 25.586 billion pounds in the same period last year, and cattle slaughter reached 31.639 million head, an increase from 31.027 million in the same period last year.
