U.S. pistachio production will reach a new historical high, with exports to China falling by 54.5%

The United States is expected to see a record harvest. AgWest reports indicate that the current growth of the U.S. pistachio crop for 2025 is very promising. Data released by the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC) in May also shows that U.S. production this year is likely to exceed last year's. According to INC forecasts, the U.S. in-shell pistachio production for the 2025/26 season will reach 726,400 tons, a significant increase of 44% from the previous season, setting a new historical record. Production is expected to continue to grow in the coming years.
